Welcome to Greenmont Village!

About Us

Our community is a Mutual Ownership Corporation that was constructed in 1941, the first houses being finished and occupied in 1942. Greenmont Village was constructed to provide housing to the incoming workers who would be employed at the surrounding manufacturing plants modified for war production.

Greenmont Village is not rental property but a non-profit corporation that operates for the benefit of the members of the Corporation. The community is self-funded by the monthly dues paid by the members of the Corporation.

Greenmont Village is governed by the members who reside in the community. The members annually elect Trustees to serve on their Board of Trustees; the Board represents the membership and conducts the affairs of the Corporation in accordance with and subject to the by-laws of the Corporation.
